April 6th, 1830 A.D. - Jesus Christ Church is Restored, same as it was some 2000 years ago.

Essential Points For Identifying The True Church of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus Christ was on the earth, He established His Church among His followers. After His Crucifixion and the deaths of His Apostles, the fulness of the gospel was taken from the earth because of widespread apostasy.

Through the Prophet Joseph Smith, our Father in Heaven and His Son Jesus Christ restored the fullness of the gospel. The true Church of Jesus Christ is on the earth again. Because of the Restoration, the teachings and ordinances necessary for salvation are available to all people.

The following outline summarizes a few of the important events in the restoration of the gospel and the establishment of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, which the Lord has declared is “the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:30).

Early spring, 1820. Seeking the true Church of Jesus Christ, 14-year-old Joseph Smith prayed in a grove of trees near his home in Palmyra, New York. In answer to his humble prayer, Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ visited him and told him that he must not join any of the churches on the earth at that time. (See Joseph Smith—History 1:11–19.) In the Church, we refer to this experience as Joseph Smith’s First Vision.

However, on April 6th, 1930, the church was restored. I’m going to go through several scriptures that prove that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is Christ’s Church for the latter days. The true church has to meet the following or it can not be of God. The restored church must meet or have the following according to the scriptures. Only “The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints” can make this claim.

  • Christ organized the church. Ephesians 4 verses 11 through 14.
  • The true church must bear the name of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 5 verse 23.
  • The true church must have a foundation of apostles and prophets. Ephesians 2 verses 19 through 20.
  • The true church must have the same organization as Christ’s Church. Ephesians 4 verses 11 through 14.
  • The true church must claim divine authority. Hebrews 5 verse four through 10.
  • The true church must have no paid ministry. Isaiah 45 verse 13 and First Peter 5 versus 2.
  • The true church must baptize by immersion. Matthew 3 verses 13 through 16.
  • The true church must bestow the gifts of the Holy Spirit by the laying on of hands. Acts 8 verses 14 through 17.
  • The true church must practice divine healing. Mark 3 verses 14 through 15.
  • The true church must teach that God and Jesus are separate and distinct individuals. John 17 verse 11 and John 20 verse 17.
  • The true church must teach that God and Jesus Christ have bodies of flesh and bone. Luke 24 verses 36 through 39 and Acts 1 verses 9 through 11.
  • The officers must be called by God. Hebrews 5 verse 4, Exodus 28 verse one, Exodus 40 verses 13 through 16.
  • The true church must claim revelation from God. Amos 3 verse 7
  • The true church must be a missionary church. Matthew 28 verses 19 through 20.
  • The true church must be a restored church. Acts 3 verses 19 through 20.
  • The true church must practice baptism for the dead. 1st Corinthians 15 verses 16 through 29
  • By their fruits, ye shall know them. Matthew 7 verse 20.

Why are these things important? Hebrews 13 verse 8.

We believe in God the Father, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. We believe in other scriptures according to the bible. Mentioned in

Ephraim, a stick of

A prophetic reference to the Book of Mormon as a record of one portion of the tribe of Ephraim that was led from Jerusalem to America about 600 B.C. When joined with the stick of Judah (the Bible), the two records form a unified, complementary testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ, His resurrection from the grave, and His divine work among these two segments of the house of Israel.

See JST Gen. 50:24–26, 31 (Appendix);   Ezek. 37:15–19;  2 Ne. 3; 29;  D&C 27:5.

Ezekiel 37: 16 Moreover, thou son of man, take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take another stick, and write upon it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel his companions:

The Holy Bible, New Testament, Old Testament: Judah: Take thee one stick, and write upon it, For Judah, and the children of Israel.

The Book of Mormon: For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim

Many will say that you can only have one book and yet the Bible the Old and New Testament is made up of many books. (For Judah)

The scriptures say otherwise and support the Book of Mormon.

How exciting it is to see God’s hand in our day.
