In the scriptures, In Matthew 24, we read,
Verse 3, And as Jesus sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? And what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ and shall deceive many.
6 And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
A skeptic may say; that there have always been wars. But there is one thing that had to happen for this to have any meaning. And that Israel had to become a nation, and that happened on May 14th, 1948, and in 1967 with the 6-day war.
Read Jeremiah Chapter 30:1-4
VERSE 1: The word that came to Jeremiah from the Lord, saying,
VERSE 2: Thus speaketh the Lord God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
VERSE 3: For, lo, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel and Judah, saith the Lord: and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.
VERSE 4: And these are the words that the Lord spake concerning Israel and concerning Judah.
Note: According to Jeremiah Chapter 30:1-4, Jeremiah made a prophecy that Israel would become a nation again, and this prophecy came true in 1948 and 1967 with the 6-day war.
Back to Matthew 24:7, 8 – speaking about our day.
7 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
A few years ago, as simple as it may be, a light bulb went off in my head. I had been studying about the 8 Kings in Iran (Revelation 17, Verse 10-11) that would lead up to the 2nd coming. When I learned that in 2025, the United States would go to war with Iran and Turkey, I learned that is when the Middle East would be divided into the North Kingdom and the South Kingdom.
So what right? Now, look at verse 7 again.
Matthew 24: 7 – We read; For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.
SEE? It says; For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom:
(North Kingdom) against (south kingdom)
The Book of Daniel’s discussion of wars between the North Kingdom and the South Kingdom roots the importance of this. Start reading Daniel chapter 11, beginning in verse 4. We can expect these wars to happen in the middle of the 2020s and the 2030s.
Matthew 24: Verse 6. We read, And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.
Yes, we have had many wars for many years, and with further study, we learn that when Israel becomes a nation that would be the generation that would witness the 2nd coming.
Christians won’t be physically present on Earth to witness this event, as further research shows. The 7 Trumpets, which act as a warning, precede Christ’s 2nd coming. Similar to Noah’s era, fire will cause devastation, along with many other calamities. Jesus will return to fight against the evil forces of Satan and stop and end the war known as Armageddon for Israel is under a different covenant. Jesus Christ will be their king for eternity. You may gain a better understanding by studying the 7 trumpets and the 7 seals.
The question might be why I place wars and rumors of wars for the year 2025. We have witnessed many wars, and I selected this time because that is when we see wars from the North Kingdom and the South Kingdom take place. It is also when we see the kingdoms that Daniel comes into reality. There are still wars that will take place that lead to the 2nd coming. Such as with Russia, and China.
